Languages, richer surfaces and rules beside your world

Choose English, Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish, use improved materials and clearer 3D dice, and search an installed game system’s rules inside Library.

Aether is now fully available in English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.

The translation covers the full first-party app experience: menus, tooltips, empty states, confirmation dialogs, toasts, generated names and other interface copy.

Dates, numbers, plurals and lists also follow the selected locale.

Less repetition in Scene Builder materials

Scene Builder's built-in materials have been reworked to make repeated surfaces less obvious. Some use revised textures, while others introduce procedural variation to break up patterns across larger floors and walls.

The palette includes Painted plaster, Cut stone, Weathered stone, Brick 1, Brick 2, Dark brick, Timber, Cobblestone, Wooden floor, Wooden floor 2, Ground with rocks, Grass, Floor tiles, Metal and Metal plates.

More depth where surfaces meet

3D scenes now add subtle contact shadows where floors meet walls and where walls intersect. This gives rooms more visual separation and removes some of the flatness around connected geometry without changing the overall painted style.

Solid Shapes received a similar pass. Box, Sphere, Cylinder and Stairs now use subtle tonal and surface variation instead of a single uniform colour, with procedural patterns used to avoid obvious repetition.

Aether 3D Dice also received a visual pass with clearer face numbers, more surface depth, varied movement and complete supported dice pools.

Rules beside the things in your world

Game systems can now mount searchable reference libraries without copying hundreds of read-only entries into every world. Library separates installed Rules from editable World records, then renders longer material with headings, facts, lists, tables and source links.

When a GM needs to change an installed entry, Duplicate into this world creates an editable campaign copy. Empty world documents also keep their page controls visible, so they can always receive a first page.

System sheets use Aether’s own controls

A system can connect a document type to its own sheet application. Opening the same character or NPC focuses its existing named tab, while different documents can remain open together and return with the saved layout.

Sandboxed sheets can use Aether’s context menu for normal, advantage and disadvantage rolls alongside applicable mod actions. A GM can make those rolls public or private to themselves without moving to a second dice system.

A system app can also show Aether’s native feedback with actions such as View, which opens the exact document it just created instead of leaving the GM to search for it.

A declared game action validates who is acting and which visible targets are affected, makes the server-owned roll, updates every affected document and records one chat result together. If a target changes before the action commits, none of those changes are applied.
