1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms govern participation in the Aether closed alpha. Aether is an independent service operated in Brazil. By creating an invited account, you agree to this version of the terms. Reading the Privacy Notice is acknowledgment of how personal data is handled, not blanket consent to every use of data.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Invitations belong to the email address named in the message, expire, work once and must not be sold or shared.
2. Free closed alpha
The closed alpha is free. Aether does not sell subscriptions, paid Marketplace items, creator plans, promotions or payout services during this phase. No payment card or bank information should be requested by Aether.
Alpha limits, available features and admission may change as the service is tested. A free invitation does not promise future access, a future free plan or any particular commercial price.
3. Accounts and table access
- Provide accurate account information and keep your password and invitation links private.
- You are responsible for activity under your account until you report unauthorized access or change the credentials.
- Being admitted to the platform does not grant access to another person's world. World membership and GM or player permissions are separate and enforced by the world owner and Aether's server.
- Answers to optional alpha questions do not grant a platform role, paid plan, quota or world permission.
4. What an alpha means
Aether is unfinished software. Features can be incomplete, removed or changed; worlds can be unavailable; and bugs may damage or lose content. There is no uptime or support-response guarantee during the closed alpha.
Aether currently runs on a single production server. Keep another copy of irreplaceable maps, notes and campaign material where the product gives you a practical way to do so.
5. Your worlds and content
You keep the rights you already hold in content you create or upload. You give Aether a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the closed alpha and to make it available to the world members you authorize.
Do not upload content unless you have the necessary rights. Aether may remove or restrict content that allegedly infringes rights, creates a security risk, is unlawful or violates these terms. We may preserve limited records when needed to handle a complaint or legal claim.
Content contributed to a shared world may remain in that world after you leave because other participants rely on the shared campaign record. Contact us if personal data or unlawful content needs separate removal.
6. Free Marketplace and Creator Studio
Only free items may be published or obtained during the closed alpha. Publishers keep their rights and grant Aether the limited rights needed to inspect, host, reproduce and distribute each published version. The license displayed by the package or listing governs how users may use that item.
A publisher must have the rights to every file in a package and must describe requested capabilities honestly. Aether may reject, unlist, retain for security review or remove an item. Worlds that already depend on a published version may require a limited compatibility or retention period rather than immediate deletion.
Marketplace review, signing, moderation and compatibility checks are alpha systems. Listing or verification does not mean that Aether endorses an item or guarantees that it is safe, accurate or compatible with every world.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not break the law, infringe another person's rights or use Aether to threaten, harass, exploit or deceive people.
- Do not probe, bypass or interfere with authentication, permissions, rate limits, isolation, moderation or service availability, except within a security test that Aether approved in writing.
- Do not introduce malware, hidden executable behavior, credential theft, destructive automation or content designed to escape Aether's extension sandbox.
- Do not scrape personal data, send unsolicited messages, impersonate another person or use another participant's account or invitation.
- Do not use the alpha as an emergency, medical, financial, legal or other safety-critical service.
8. Feedback
You may send bug reports, suggestions and other feedback. You keep ownership of material that qualifies for protection, but you allow Aether to use the feedback without payment or an obligation to implement it. Do not include another person's confidential information in feedback.
9. Suspension, termination and shutdown
You may stop participating and delete your account through account settings. Aether may suspend or end access to protect the service or another person, investigate abuse, comply with law, enforce these terms or end the closed alpha.
When practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to retrieve content before a planned shutdown. Immediate action may be necessary for security, legal or abuse reasons. Account deletion and content retention follow the Privacy Notice and the shared-world and published-package rules above.
10. Responsibility and mandatory rights
Aether is provided for free as unfinished alpha software. To the extent permitted by Brazilian law, Aether is not responsible for indirect losses, lost opportunities or loss caused by relying on the alpha as the only copy of content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a right that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights.
Third-party systems, mods and content remain the responsibility of their publishers. Their own licenses may apply in addition to these terms.
11. Changes, Brazilian law and contact
A material change will receive a new version and effective date. Existing participants will be asked to accept a new version when continued use requires a new agreement.
Brazilian law governs these terms. Any mandatory consumer right or legally protected choice of venue remains available and is not waived by this text.
