Map remains the full editor. Tabletop adds a perspective view of the same scene, with solid walls, swinging doors and upright image tokens.
Tabletop
Choose Tabletop and the current background becomes the table surface. Walls rise into solid segments, open doors swing from their hinges, and image tokens stand upright on labelled bases. Placed scene images stay flat.
Drag empty space to orbit, hold Shift while dragging to pan, and scroll or use the fixed controls to change distance. The camera stays above the table and cannot roll upside down. Aether remembers your Map position and Tabletop camera separately for each scene.
Map remains the complete editor
Map remains the place for editing. Tabletop is for selecting and moving tokens, panning the table and measuring distances.
Scene-authoring tools still open in Map, where the full editor lives.
Each player keeps their own camera
Players can orbit, pan and zoom independently. Their Tabletop cameras return after a reload or reconnect.
Changing the angle does not reveal hidden tokens, walls, notes or unexplored ground.
