Aether v0.11.0: draw on the map and roll from tables

Five vector tools, placed images and private Roll Table previews give GMs more ways to explain and resolve the live scene without leaving the table.

Drawings and placed images now live on the map. Roll Tables can preview a result before posting, and a name edit updates the places that use it.

Drawings and images

The map toolbar has Pen, Line, Rectangle, Ellipse and Cone. Choose table-visible or GM-only before placing a mark. After placement, drawings can be moved, styled and renamed. Deleting one is permanent, and the confirmation says so.

Images use the same drawing layer. PNG, JPEG and WebP files up to 25 MiB can be placed without replacing the scene background, and resizing keeps the image's proportions. A missing asset stays visible as a striped placeholder instead of disappearing from the map.

Roll Tables in the session

The Roll Tables panel can ask the server for a private preview. Nothing reaches Chat until Post is chosen, and Post uses the result that was previewed. /table <name> still rolls and posts immediately.

Names use an exact match first, then a unique prefix. A bad or unavailable request does not post to Chat; hidden tables remain hidden. Posted cards include the table name, selected text, weighted pick and readable document references.

Renaming

Records puts the editable Name field first. On the map, F2 renames one selected token, drawing or placed image.

After a name change, map labels, Records, Library references, backlinks and Chat reference chips use it without a reload.

Mod tools leave cleanly

Disabling, uninstalling, upgrading or crashing a mod cancels its active map tool and returns the toolbar to Select. Other mods keep their tools.
