Aether v0.28.0 brings scene authoring into one mode, builds physics dice into the app and adds two free first-party game systems.
Scene editing in one mode
Choose Edit scene to work with structure, props, Shapes, drawings, images, barriers, lights, tokens, materials, the grid, environment and scene settings. Installed packages can add their own applicable tools to the same rail.
Choose Done to cancel unfinished drawing or placement, clear the current authoring selection and return to the table. Leaving Edit scene does not activate a scene the GM was viewing privately.
History now supports more scene work. Token placement, grouped transforms and bulk clears are recorded as single actions, while drawings, images, structure, materials and settings use the same undo and redo flow. If another edit changes something involved in that action, History stops the replay instead of restoring only part of it.
Physics dice are built into Aether
Physics dice now run directly in Aether instead of through the standalone Aether 3D Dice mod. Dice enter from the edge of the screen, collide across the table and settle on the result recorded by the server.
Each viewer can hide all 3D rolls or only rolls from other players without hiding the result in Chat.
My Dice shows the skins your account owns and lets you choose one for each die type across all worlds. Every account receives Aether Green, Nebula and Stained Glass. Existing accounts and anyone joining during the closed alpha also receive Alpha Plasma.
The standalone Aether 3D Dice mod is being retired in favor of the built-in renderer.
Start with 5E 2024 SRD or Red Runners
dnd5e@0.0.3 includes level-one character creation, character and NPC sheets, advancement through the included SRD progression, a searchable rules library and direct rolls for common character and creature actions. Multiclass creation and broader action automation are planned for later package versions.
night-wire@0.0.1, listed as Red Runners, supports Cyberpunk RED character creation, combat, cyberware, cyberdecks, Netrunning, custom NPCs and NET Architectures. It requires the Cyberpunk RED Core Rulebook and uses short sourced references that point back to the book rather than reproducing it.
Red Runners is unofficial content provided under R. Talsorian Games' Homebrew Content Policy and is not approved or endorsed by RTG.
